The response among Nigerians to a viral video of Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, urging donations to his newly created GoFundMe account has been mixed.

In the video, Joseph Aloba explained that he created the GoFundMe account for Nigerians who desire justice for his late son to contribute. He stated that the funds raised would be utilized to pursue justice for Mohbad.

In the video, Joseph Aloba can be heard saying, “Good day Nigerians, thank you for your support and your constant clamor of justice for my son. Please, I beg you all, the GoFundMe that I asked them to open on my behalf and my Access bank account is for those who seek justice for Mohbad to please kindly assist us financially. That is why I opened it with my son’s name, that is my plea, that you all help us.”

Comments varied in response, with some alleging that he was exploiting his son’s death for financial gain, while others suggested a DNA test to confirm paternity between Mohbad and his father.
